FAQ
What is Microbial Cell Preparation (MCP®)?
MCP® is a unique formulation of probiotics that confer health benefits when consumed. In simple words, the combination of these multiple strains of probiotics showed that they can give beneficial effects to human health.
What is the difference between MCP® and other probiotics?
MCP® is clinically-tested as a whole, and not based on individual strain. Based on our studies, MCP® is safe and effective to be used, especially for gut health.
What is the difference between MCP® with yoghurt or fermented foods (tempeh, kimchi, kombucha etc.)?
Fermented foods may contain an indeterminate type and quantity of bacteria in their final state. Additionally, the viability of beneficial bacteria in these foods can be compromised if not stored properly—requiring refrigeration. The bacteria in fermented foods lack clinical testing to assess their overall impact on gut health.
In contrast, MCP® stands out with its continuous clinical testing, ensuring safety and efficacy in promoting good health. Products containing MCP® are formulated for stability at room temperature, eliminating the need for refrigeration and enhancing portability for added convenience.
Is 30 billion CFU too much for consumption?
According to World Gastroenterology Organisation Global (WGO) Guidelines, it is not possible to state a general dose that is needed for probiotics. Although many over-the counter (OTC) products deliver in the range of 1-10 billion CFU/dose, some products have been shown to be efficacious at lower levels, while some require substantially more. The dosage should be based on human clinical studies that resulted with health benefits.
For our products, kindly follow the dosage as stated on the packaging.
Can I consume products containing MCP® if I have allergies?
Our products do not contain any common allergens. If you are unsure, please consult your nearby healthcare professional for clarification.
Can I consume products containing MCP® if I am lactose-intolerant?

The amount of lactose in our product are much lesser than the amount of lactose that can be tolerated by lactose-intolerant people (12g of lactose or 250ml of milk at a time, maximum twice per day). If you are unsure, please consult your nearby healthcare professional for clarification.
